Topic : The Norwegian Explorer Fridtjof Nansen

For my final major project I have choosen the Norwegian Explorer Fridtjof Nansen. The designs of the products, the labelling for the hamper, the poster and the booklets present various aspects of his voyage on the Fram to Greenland. Also background information with regard to his life and other achievements are given. As he has been an very special and brave explorer. I will also display work from my previous semester and of course in the future anything else which will be realized.

Poster design Fridtjof Nansen

For this poster design I wanted to create a poster that has a traditional and therefore vintage feel. Therefore I was inspired by typefaces from the Victorian Age and a metall advertising plate for whiskey.



 This kind of design was then also applied to an additial brochure which intends to give the consumer of the Fridtjof Nansen hamper additional information about the explorer  and his voyage.

The motiv of the anchor has also been applied to the labelling design for the hamper
The limited edition hamper has been created for Fortnum and Mason as a student work with the topic of the explorer and researcher Fridtjof Nansen.

    Very nice designs, encouraged me to inform myself a bit more about Nansen! Would definitely buy the hamper, too. Lovely and retro-looking.
